Creative, visionary, practical, and ethical are all underpinning attributes that Mislyn brings to her work and clients. She co-founded a human resource management consulting firm in the 1980s after identifying a time when the legal landscape for Hawaiian employers created a need. This experience lends not only to her business acumen, but also to her ability to establish and achieve business goals and objectives.
After completing her education at the University of Hawaii, Mislyn combined her learning with her forte in dealing with complex employee relations matters, performance management, and developing employee engagement and retention programs. Since that time, she has not only managed and worked in various HR functions, but has also created and built HR departments from the ground up. Although she does enjoy consulting on strategic HR functions, as an effective coach, her true passion in Human Resources is creating and delivering leadership and management training.
In her spare time, Mislyn is an enthusiastic volleyball mom, serves on the governing board for a local charter school, and volunteers with various civic and not-for-profit organizations.
